Sometimes confused with personal trainers, athletic trainers, or exercise physiologists, Physical Therapists are actually certified, licensed health care professionals with a minimum of a vigorous four-year course in biology, anatomy, exercise physiology and pathology. Many of our highly trained specialists have advanced degrees.

At Delaware Curative, because of the consistent time we spend with our patients throughout the course of treatment we continually meet the following goals:

• Getting individuals to functional independence, doing things on their own or with as little help as possible.
• Taking the time to teach individuals on how to prevent a more serious injury before it happens, or after injury, to prevent it from recurring.
• Taking the additional time to teach family members and caregivers how to care for individuals. The key to continued successful rehabilitation is a successful home exercise program
