PEDIATRIC AND
SCHOOL BASED SERVICES
Delaware Curative’s pediatric team is committed to providing the highest quality of service to children and their families. We offer a multidisciplinary approach to serve children from birth to 18 years of age who are in need of physical, occupational and/or speech/language therapy. Our therapists are licensed professionals specializing in the care and treatment of children with developmental delays or medical conditions.
Each child is evaluated to determine his/her strengths and areas of need. A treatment program is then designed to meet identified areas of need. We know that early intervention of developmental delays can have a significant impact on how a child continues to develop physically, mentally and emotionally. Often times these delays may effect a child’s ability to learn new skills. Developmental delays could be in one or more of the following areas:
- Cognitive
- Fine Motor Skills
- Physical/Gross Motor Skills
- Communication/Speech
- Social/Emotional
- Adaptive

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY - Teaches self-help, play and eating skills and refines fine motor skills (i.e. hand writing, shoe tying, buttoning), hand development and perceptual/ visual motor skills.
SPEECH/LANGUAGE THERAPY - Assists in the development of comprehension and use of language, including articulation, phonology and oral motor strength and coordination.

Camp Curative - A six week language based summer program for children 3- 6 years of age. Camp provides opportunities to improve communication skills through a variety of sensorimotor experiences. Children develop and practice new motor and social skills through structured activities and guided play. Motor activities promote better sensory processing skills and kids get to have fun too!
Other programs available throughout the year include: Handwriting programs, birth to three play groups, aquatic therapy group, social skills groups and more!
